Born in 1968, he graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Faculty of Architecture as an architect in 1993. Before founding CM Architecture, he worked with many offices as an architect. He is a member of the Chamber of Architects of Turkey and Istanbul Independent Architects Association (ISMD).

He is a lecturer in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University's design studio. He has been taking part in MA programs of Istanbul Technical University and Istanbul Bilgi University and in 2017 he joined AURAistanbul as a project leader. He won the National Architecture Award of Turkey in Building Category in 2014.

Besides his architectural practice, he has written for periodicals such as Roll, Radikal, Express, Bir+Bir, İskenderiye Yazıları, Genç and İstanbul Art News. He has also been preparing a musical program Açık Radyo since 1996.
