In parallel with the symposium there will be side events organized together with AnkaraAks that will take place in Ankara during November. Through the side events of Wood Urbanwalk, Wood Workshop and Wood Workshop: International Digital Talks bringing together university students from different fields such as architecture, urban planning, industrial design, etc. is expected to create an environment where wood will be experienced theoretically and physically.

The wooden route in Ankara offers the opportunity to explore the wooden architectural culture of the city through experience, where the route includes significant wood-oriented architectural heritage spots in Ankara such as Ankara Castle, Istiklal Quarter, Hamamönü Neighborhood, Ulus Posta Street, Cebeci and Altındağ borders.

Within the scope of Woodlife Sweden, Wood Workshop is a side event that will be held for young designers, architects, and students on the journey of wood from past to present, its techniques, its importance and potential as a building material, raising awareness and attention on new production methods and techniques.
The Wood Workshop is structured under three main headings: Theory, Design and Production. The main goal of the workshop is to use the wooden materials produced with the technology of the future, focusing on the present problem (Covid-19) and the solution developed by design, by using the traditional wood construction techniques of the past.
