'Future Heirlooms' Designers and Jury Members Gathered at The Circle Space

Within the scope of the 'Future Heirlooms' project initiated by AHEC in partnership with The Circle and Yonga Furniture, we met with the jury members and selected designers in Istanbul. We had a pleasant evening with a dinner at The Circle Space on December 7, 2023.

Since Future Heirlooms is an international project, we met at The Circle Space for the first time in the process that has been carried out entirely through online meetings so far. The jury members, designers, AHEC and The Circle team had the opportunity to get to know each other better in this meeting where everyone who was in Istanbul and could come to Istanbul for the meeting met face to face. Umut Eğitimci from AHEC; jury members Defne Koz and Seyhan Özdemir; selected designers Aslı Eylem Kol baş, Ayça Yılmaz, Deniz Koldaş & Nazlı Mutlu, Deniz Yenidoğan, Gürcan Bulut, Öykü Üner and The Circle Team came together at the dinner where everyone made general evaluations on the project. Since the designs developed during the process were started to be produced by Yonga Furniture, there was an exchange of ideas on this subject.

The jury members made their general evaluations and expressed what they attach importance to. They talked directly with the designers about their designs and gave more detailed critiques, emphasizing the importance of the material. They shared their perspectives and made various suggestions to increase the efficiency of the process in the next stages of the project.
