The Events
In addition to the architectural and cultural-artistic projects we produce, The Circle, as an “open-space” hosts various cultural-artistic events and talks. These events ranging from theatre to literature, from cinema to music fosters The Circle’s structure as a multi-disciplinary platform.
GEMSS’21 / Exhibition
GEMSS’21 Has Opened! The exhibition, which reflects the productions of selected 14 practices -9 individuals and 5 teams - who were active in very diverse and different fields of architecture, will remain open to visitors until 29th of April.
Woodlife Exhibitions
Woodlife Exhibitions, will be occuring with two parallel main exhibitions taking place in Ankara and Istanbul at two different venues. Then commence touring different cities such as İzmir and Hatay during winter 2021 and spring 2022 season.
Pulse illustration Exhibition
Presenting the latest and most creative examples of illustration art, “Pulse” brings together many illustration artists on the intersection of life, body and space.
Young Architects Exhibition
The Circle is pleased to present Slovenian artist Joni Zakonjšek’s first solo show in İstanbul, “How It Is to Be a Heart?” The exhibition opening will take place on September 14, 2018 at 7.30p.m.
The Circle Discovery : Orhan Onuk
The Circle is pleased to announce the launch of “Keşif”* exhibition series co-organized with Pre-. Works of Orhan Onuk will be presented as The Circle’s first “discovery” in an exhibition focused on ‘portrait / self-portrait.’
Chinatown
Chinatown consists of works that move away from the traditional uses of ceramics to try new aesthetical and cultural possibilities.
Sustainable Design Days
In February 2019 The Circle organized sustainable design days that focused on the notion of sustainability.
Meera Hashimoto Exhibition
The works of the Japanese painter and art therapist Meera Hashimoto were exhibited in İstanbul for the first time at The Circle between 21-23 December 2018.
Watershed
Between October 1st and 30th 2018, The Circle hosted David Turnbull’s exhibition “Watershed” that included models, prototypes, drawings, diagrams, photographs and videos drawn from a decade of work by PITCHAfrica, designing and building high-yield rainwater harvesting structures in East and West Africa.
